I was having breakfast at Oldes, on the corner of Grey Street and Trotter Street, on Sunday, April 7 2013 when i noticed that 2 Knysna SAPS vans had been parked, almost hidden, for a long period behind Checkers. Later, 2 cops emerged with several packets of groceries in hand, more than a breakfast, and then continued to sit with doors open.
Since when can official police vehicles...

The IPID reported 4 923 complaints against the police were received in 2011/12 financial year. Of these, 2 320 were “criminal offences”, 720 were deaths, 88 were domestic violence cases, and the remainder, “misconduct cases”. The majority was reported in Gauteng and the Western Cape.

Captain Bernadine Steyn said a man reversed his bakkie from a pavement into the road, in front of an oncoming green Mazda bakkie on Sunday evening. The Mazda driver stopped and got out.
